I just received this mattress and was extremely impressed by the quality. It is thick and soft, yet firm and has a great bounce to it. One can tell right away that this is well made. I feel very confident that my baby will sleep well on this mattress through his toddler years. I highly recommend this mattress to anyone, but especially to those who know and understand the value of a good mattress. Also, it comes with a 25 year warranty and you can register on the company website. I tested many mattresses at Babies R Us and was disgusted at how cheap and cardboard-like they were. Go for it, you won't be disappointed!

This is a fantastic organic mattress. It is firm and comfortable, and my baby sleeps so soundly on it. I was committed to sending the mattress right back if it emitted any toxic odors, but it was completely odorless upon opening. So happy I went with this mattress instead of some other eco-friendly varieties that are more expensive and actually less pure. It also fits perfectly in the Graco Dakota crib I bought (another GREAT eco-buy for those on a budget).

This mattress just arrived for our expected baby's nursery. Upon opening the plastic there was definately a smell. My husband says the mattress smells like "wet cat" or that it has an "earth-like dirt" smell. I'm not sure what the smell reminds me of. My organic crib mattress cover and organic cotton sheets do not have any such smell. I'm not sure if we'll keep this one.

It is firm and does fit our standard sized crib.
